Asset management approach
Asset management is a strategic approach that seeks to optimise the value of highway assets over their life (Whole Life Cost). East Sussex County Council recognises that an asset management based approach can help us in investing on long term planned activities in local highway maintenance to prevent expensive short-term repairs. This approach is in line with suggested best practice and Government guidance.
This approach maximises value for money, manages risk and maintains a highway environment that is safe, secure and accessible for our customers.
