Infrastructure Planning and Place
The Infrastructure Planning and Place team are responsible for:
- Infrastructure Planning & Policy - the county’s Local Transport Plan and its constituent documents; engagement with strategic transport providers such as National Highways, Network Rail, Gatwick, as well as Transport for South East and the Department for Transport; managing externally funded active travel programmes; coordinating the Council’s responses to Local and Neighbourhood Plans; securing Community Infrastructure Levy and non-highways contributions as well as managing the use of these development contributions; and
- Local Transport Schemes - client for the development and delivery of our capital programme of local transport improvements through our current and future highways contract, and the transport monitoring function.
