Residents travelling along Bexhill Road in St Leonards can now enjoy a smoother, safer and more reliable journey following the completion of a major improvement scheme.
The project involved resurfacing 1.8 kilometres of road – enough to cover around 80 tennis courts – alongside deeper repairs to strengthen sections showing greater wear.
To improve safety, high-friction surfacing has been renewed at key junctions and pedestrian crossings, while refreshed road markings will help keep the route clear and easy to navigate.
The team also carried out drainage improvements, repaired kerbs and replaced damaged covers and gullies.
These improvements will help extend the life of the road and keep people moving safely through the area for years to come.
