The project involved replacing the worn road surface and installing a reinforcement grid to help strengthen and protect it for the future.
These works were delivered within an accelerated timeframe to improve surface quality ahead of the busy summer months. To minimise disruption, the scheme was carried out in two distinct phases - northbound and southbound - with works taking place both day and night, enabling completion of these essential repairs within just one week.
Despite periods of heavy rain causing early pauses at the start of the week, the road was successfully reopened as planned on 5 June. We would like to thank residents for their patience and understanding while these works were carried out.
