Our carriageway improvement works on the A26 Eridge Road, Crowborough are now complete.
During the scheme, we carried out full resurfacing along with patching repairs, ironwork adjustments, gully cleaning, the installation of high friction surfacing (HFS), and refreshed road markings to improve safety and provide a smoother journey for road users.
In total, we resurfaced 2,500 metres of carriageway - the equivalent of over 222 London buses parked end to end.
We also completed additional patching works outside of the original closure area where sections of the carriageway had deteriorated or were identified as safety defects. These extra repairs were completed on the last two nights, with works carried out between Boarshead Roundabout and Bunny Lane.
Thank you to everyone for your patience while we carried out these improvements.
