We have recently completed signage installation and vegetation works on High Street and Wannock Road in Polegate.
The works focused on improving visibility and clarity for drivers by installing new directional and speed limit signs, as well as cutting back vegetation and installing verge markers. These improvements help ensure important road information is clearly visible, supporting safer journeys for all road users.
To minimise disruption in this busy area, the works were carried out overnight, with lane closures in place to keep traffic moving safely.
These works form part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining the highway network and improving safety across East Sussex.
