We've recently completed a bridge parapet repair in Oxenbridge Lane, Etchingham.

We've recently completed a bridge parapet repair in Oxenbridge Lane, Etchingham. A vehicle collision had damaged the brickwork parapet, causing half of the wall to collapse and leaving a significant unprotected drop above the watercourse below. A hanging scaffold platform was used to safely access the bridge’s elevation and rebuild the parapet like-for-like. Four reflective verge marker posts were also installed around the structure, to improve visibility of the bridge for highway users.

While on site, we took advantage of the road closure and identified several opportunities for betterment along Oxenbridge Lane. Vegetation clearance to the two other bridges along this road was carried out, a joint in one of the bridge parapets was repaired, a significant pothole was filled, the gullies were uncovered and cleared out, edge of carriageway erosion was repaired by installing concrete grips, and the litter in the verges was collected.
