We recently welcomed students from Ark Alexandra Academy, Hastings to the depot for an engaging day of all things 'Highways'.
The students are also part of Dallaglio RugbyWorks, a charity supporting young people facing exclusion and hardship. They use the power of rugby, coupled with long-term mentoring, to help develop life skills, build resilience, and create pathways to education and employment.
The days activities included:
• Real world experience in life at East Sussex Highways and pathways into the industry, such as apprenticeships.
• An insight into Traffic Management with DrainLine Ltd .
• An opportunity to test their skills, flying a drone with our dedicated Drone Team.
• A tour of our offices and Operational Control Hub.
• Valuable training looking at respect, role models and responsibility as part of our work around International Men’s Day.
