Applying for a Community Funded scheme

To apply please follow the below steps:

  1. Read the Community Funded Scheme scope document. 
  2. Undertake a speed or pedestrian survey if your proposed scheme is speed or traffic related. Email transport.monitoring@eastsussex.gov.uk for more information. 
  3. Undertake public consultation to support your application.
  4. Submit a Community Funded Scheme Feasibility Assessment Application Form along with evidence of public consultation.
  5. East Sussex County Council may request further information to support your application.
  6. East Sussex County Council will inform you if the scheme or if it is not feasible and any alternatives may be possible.
  7. If supported, you can proceed to your preferred contractor for detailed design and construction. Please note any contractor working on the public highway must have Public Liability Insurance to the value of £10 million and proof of NRSWA Accreditations for the works supervisor and operatives.
