Map of works area and diversion route
We’ll soon be repairing the cracks in the parapet on Willingford Lane, Burwash.
When do they start?
Work will be carried out on Tuesday 3 November 2026 between 8am and 4:30pm.
We will inform you of any changes to the dates or times via advanced warning signs on site.
How will this impact highway users?
We’ll be working on the parapet above the river, near the top of WillingfordLane.
The road will be closed to through traffic, with a signed diversion route in place via the A265, King’s Hill Road and vice versa.
For safety, access to properties within the works area will be limited and managed during our working hours. If you need access, please speak to the team on site, as arrangements and routes may change as work progresses.
Please bear in mind, there could also be a delay while the area is made safe for you to pass and your vehicle may be escorted by site marshalls. This is for properties with direct access within the closure area only and there will be no through route.
Please be polite and respectful to the site teams, they are working to keep everyone safe.
