New Town, Uckfield - High Friction Surfacing

Following the recent resurfacing works on New Town, Uckfield will be returning to install sections of high friction surfacing.

Work will take place on 23rd & 24th August between 8pm and 6am each night.

Our team will be working between the junctions of Framfield Road and Mill Drove, as well as at the junction of Mallard Drive.

We were unable to carry out the high friction surfacing work on the original date due to road space and resourcing issues.

The impact on you

The road will remain open, with temporary 4-way traffic lights in place at the New Town/Framfield Road junction.

Parking: We will put out ‘no parking’ signs and cones on the site to advise where parking is restricted. Please avoid parking in these locations as it will delay our works.

Weather: All works are subject to favourable weather conditions, for example heavy rain may affect the progress of the works.

Properties close to the carriageway may experience a temporary disturbance as this can be a noisy process and those properties may experience flashing lights and reversing sirens. We would like to take this opportunity to apologise in advance for any inconvenience or disruption this work may cause.

Please let us know how we did by leaving feedback. Please note you will be redirected to the East Sussex County Council consultation website.
