Balfour Beatty is working in partnership with East Sussex County Council to manage the highways service across East Sussex. As part of this, we will be carrying out carriageway works on London Road, St Leonards.
When do they start?
Work will take place on Friday 8th September between 9pm and 6am.
During the above period, the road will be closed from Norman Road to North Street. Please see map below for exact location. The team on site will be able to provide the most up to date information on progress.
A signed diversion route will be in place.
Information for residents and businesses
If you need vehicle access during the closure, please discuss this with the team on site who will be happy to assist. Please bear in mind there will be delays while the area is made safe. We will always allow access for emergency vehicles.
Parking: We will put out ‘no parking’ signs and cones on the site, in phased sections to advise where parking is restricted. Please avoid parking in these locations as it will delay our works.
Weather: These works are subject to favorable weather conditions, for example heavy rain may affect the progress of the works.
Properties close to the works may experience a temporary disturbance as this can be a noisy process. We would like to take this opportunity to apologise for any inconvenience or disruption this work may cause, however this forms part of our continuing improvement for the East Sussex highway network.
