Map showing location of works area
Further to our previous letter, dated 21 February, we’re writing to inform you that we will be returning to the area to carry out further works on Holliers Hill, Bexhill,
These works are being carried out to rectify minor issues following the surfacing works earlier this year.
When do they start?
The works will be carried out from Monday 2 September 2024 to Wednesday 4 September 2024 between 9:30am and 4pm.
We will inform you of any changes to the dates or times via advanced warning signs on site.
What are we doing?
The works will involve adjustments to kerb stones and ironwork, such as fire hydrants in the carriageway.
How will this impact highway users?
The team will be working in three locations during these works:
- On Holliers Hill, outside property number 59,
- On St Johns Road at the junction with Holliers Hill,
- On Chantry Avenue at the junction with Holliers Hill.
The road will remain open with temporary traffic signals in place.
Information for residents and businesses
Parking: We will put out ‘no parking’ signs and cones on the site to advise where parking is restricted. Please avoid parking in these locations as it will delay our work.
Weather: All of these works are subject to favourable weather conditions, for example heavy rain may affect the progress of the works.
Properties close to the carriageway may experience a temporary disturbance as this can be a noisy process and those properties may experience flashing lights and reversing sirens.
Permit reference: EA004HM-0020-03
We would like to take this opportunity to apologise in advance for any inconvenience or disruption this work may cause, however this forms part of our continuing improvement for the East Sussex highway network.
Please let us know how we did by leaving feedback. Please note you will be redirected to the East Sussex County Council consultation website.
