Map showing the extent of the footway works in High Street, Burwash
Balfour Beatty is working in partnership with East Sussex County Council to manage the highways service across East Sussex. As part of this, we will be carrying out footway repairs on High Street, Burwash.
When do they start?
Work will start on Monday 17 July and continue until Friday 21 July 2023.
We will be working between St Annes Green and School Hill. The team on site will be able to provide the most up to date information on progress.
Please see overleaf for map of works area.
There will be no weekend or bank holiday working and the road will remain open with standard chapter 8 signs and cones surrounding work areas between 7am and 7pm.
Information for residents and businesses
While works are taking place sections of the footway will be closed to pedestrians and alternative pedestrian walkways will be provided.
If you need assistance during these works please discuss this with the team on site who will be happy to assist. Please bear in mind there may be delays. We will endeavor to provide access for residents, where it is safe to do so. We will always allow access for emergency vehicles.
Parking: We will put out ‘no parking’ signs and cones on the site, in phased sections to advise where parking is restricted. Please avoid parking in these locations as it will delay our works.
Weather: All of these works are subject to favorable weather conditions, for example heavy rain may affect the progress of the works.
Properties close to the works may experience a temporary disturbance as this can be a noisy process. We would like to take this opportunity to apologise in advance for any inconvenience or disruption this work may cause.
Please let us know how we did by leaving feedback. Please note you will be redirected to the East Sussex County Council consultation website.
