Further to our letter, dated 18 August 2025, we are writing to inform you that we will soon be revisiting Hawth Hill & Hawth Park Road, Seaford to complete our carriageway improvements.

During a post-completion inspection, it was identified that sections of the surfacing have not been completed to an acceptable standard. Due to this, we will be revisiting to rectify the affected areas.

When do they start?

Work will be carried out on Wednesday 29 October and Thursday 30 October 2025 between 7pm and 6am. We will inform you of any changes to the dates or times via advanced warning signs on site.

What are we doing?

These works involve targeted resurfacing and iron-work adjustments to improve the overall finish of the recently completed surfacing and to better ensure longevity.

How will this impact highway users?

We will be working on targeted areas of the carriageway from the junction of Marine Parade across the full length of Hawth Hill and Hawth Park Road, within the newly surfaced sections. The road will remain open with temporary traffic lights in place for the duration.

Information for residents and businesses

Parking: We will put out ‘no parking’ signs and cones on the site to advise where parking is restricted. Please avoid parking in these locations as it will delay our works.

Weather: All of these works are subject to favourable weather conditions, for example heavy rain may affect the progress of the works.

Properties close to the carriageway may experience a temporary disturbance as this can be a noisy process and those properties may experience flashing lights and reversing sirens.

We would like to take this opportunity to apologise in advance for any inconvenience or disruption this work may cause, however this forms part of our quality control efforts to ensure we are providing the best possible completed works. Should you have any concerns regarding these works, you can contact us at eshcomms@balfourbeatty.com.

Please let us know how we did by leaving feedback. Please note you will be redirected to the East Sussex County Council consultation website.
