Balfour Beatty is working in partnership with East Sussex County Council to manage the highways service across East Sussex. As part of this, we will be carrying out drainage works on Battle Road, Punnett’s Town.
What we are doing
We will be carrying out works on the drainage system to alleviate flooding.
Work is planned to take place from Monday 14 August to Wednesday 16 August 2023.
This date may be subject to change. If anything changes, we will update you via the signs on site and our website.
Information for residents and businesses
Battle Road will remain open with temporary 3-way traffic lights in place at the junction with Blackdown Lane. Lights will be manually controlled during peak hours to minimise distruption.
We would like to take this opportunity to apologise in advance for any inconvenience or disruption this work may cause, however this forms part of our continuing improvement for the East Sussex highway network.
