Balfour Beatty is working in partnership with East Sussex County Council to manage the highways service across East Sussex. As part of this, we will be carrying out carriageway repairs at five locations on the B2192 at Ringmer, Halland & Blackboys.
When do they start?
Works will be carried out from Monday 2 June to Friday 6 June between 8pm to 6am each night. We will inform you of any changes to the dates or times via advanced warning signs on site.
What are we doing?
These works involve targeted patch repairs to improve the overall carriageway condition.
How will this impact highway users?
These works will be carried out in the below phases:
Phase one - Monday 2 June:
Half Mile Drove, Ringmer - Access will be restricted for residents for the duration of the works. A diversion will be in place via Laughton Road, B2192 and vice versa.

Temporary traffic lights will also be in place on B2192 whilst the work is undertaken.
Phase five - Friday 6 June:
Lewes Road, Blackboys - The team will be working outside ‘Cider House Park’. Access will be restricted for residents for the duration of works. A diversion will be in place via B2192, B2102, A22, B2192 and vice versa.
If you need access at these locations, please approach the closure point and speak to the site team. This is for access only. There may be a slight delay while we make it safe for you to pass, and your vehicle will be escorted by site marshals. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Information for residents and businesses
Parking: If required, we will put out ‘no parking’ signs and cones on the site to advise where parking is restricted. Please avoid parking in these locations as it will delay our works.
Weather: All of these works are subject to favourable weather conditions, for example heavy rain may affect the progress of the works.
Waste collection: Access will be granted for any waste collection.
Properties close to the carriageway may experience a temporary disturbance as this can be a noisy process and those properties may experience flashing lights and reversing sirens.
We would like to take this opportunity to apologise in advance for any inconvenience or disruption this work may cause, however this forms part of our continuing improvement for the East Sussex highway network.
Please let us know how we did by leaving feedback. Please note you will be redirected to the East Sussex County Council consultation website.
