The below works are no longer going ahead. The delivery of some previously scheduled highway maintenance works will be rescheduled and the programme reviewed. Safety-critical activities and all statutory duties will continue to be delivered.
We will soon be carrying out drainage investigations on the B2095 Powdermill Lane, Catsfield.
When do they start?
Works will be carried out from Monday 12 October to Wednesday 14 October 2026, 8pm - 6am.
Any changes to the dates or times will displayed on the site advanced warning signs.
What are we doing?
The works involve carrying out CCTV surveys of the underground drainage system. We will also be clearing pipework with high-pressure water to remove any blockages.
How will this impact highway users?
We'll be working from Catsfield Road to outside property ‘Woodside Cottage’.
The road will be closed to through traffic, with a signed diversion route in place via the B2204, the A271, and the A2100 and vice versa.
For safety, access to properties within the works area will be limited and managed during our working hours. If you need access, please speak to the team on site, as arrangements and routes may change as work progresses.
Please bear in mind, there could also be a delay while the area is made safe for you to pass and your vehicle may be escorted by site marshalls. This is for properties with direct access within the closure area only and there will be no through route.
Please be polite and respectful to the site teams, they are working to keep everyone safe.
Information for residents and businesses
Buses: Any affected bus services have been informed and will be diverted.
Noise: Properties close to the carriageway may notice some noise, flashing lights, or reversing sirens. We will do our best to keep this to a minimum.
Parking: If required, we will put out ‘no parking’ signs and cones on the site to advise where parking is restricted. Please avoid parking in these locations as it will delay our works.
Weather: All of these works are subject to favourable weather conditions, for example heavy rain may affect the progress of the works.
Properties close to the carriageway may experience a temporary disturbance as this can be a noisy process and those properties may experience flashing lights and reversing sirens.
